Types of coccidiosis treatment

Coccidiosis treatment is given by the two way in the field. Drugs provide by the feed and the second option is water. Today we discuss the top 3 anticoccidial drugs which provide by the water.

1. Diclazuril

Diclazuril is an antiprotozoal drug and it is a member of triazine cut, s  which is chemically similar to ponazuril. Despite acts on all  Emeria species, it is also active in the Isospora app, Toxoplasma Gondi.

Diclazuril extensively cure the intestinal coccidiosis which caused by the more than three coccidial spp in poultry
Mode of Action

The exact mode of action is still unknown. But, diclazuril exerts his antics neuronal effect by inhibiting merozoite production. It mainly functions on the sexual life cycle of the Emeria app and breaks its life and stops the proliferation of the Emeria app.

Dosage And Administration
Occasionally, Diclazuril acts on caecal coccidiosis during the failure to control by the Toltrazuril

Dosage of diclazuril vary age to age and it’s dosage range 1-50 mg/ kg body weight. Diclazuril found as an oral solution that contains diclazuril 10% and available for oral medication.

Safety level

Diclazuril is the safest anticoccidial drugs die to it can use all age in poultry. It can give day 01- up to market age. There is no complication or contradiction with other drugs. There is a record of weight loss and other adverse effects of diclazuril in the field study.

2. Suphaclozine Sodium

Suphaclozine sodium is white, crystalline, free-flowing water-soluble powder. It is active against all types of protozoan species especially the Emeria app and certain types of bacteria.

Excessive viscosity in chicken feces indicates intestinal coccidiosis which excellently cures by the suphaclozine sodium

Sometimes these types of feces confusing with indigestion but, overall causal agents associates with coccidial spp.

Mode of Action

It is an antibiotic belong to a group of sulphonamide. Like another sulphonamide, it is an antagonist of para-aminobenzoic acid, a precursor of folic acid in protozoa and bacteria. Folic acid is a coenzyme necessary for the synthesis of nucleic acid. By which, protozoa and bacteria don’t multiply in the presence of suphaclozine sodium.

Chocolate color feces caused by the Emeria acervulina which inducing intestinal coccidiosis and successfully treat this condition by the suphaclozine sodium.
Dose and Administration

The dose of suphaclozine sodium varies to which types of coccidia infect and causing coccidiosis in poultry. In the case of, Emeria tenella and Emeria nicartrix dosage start from 75-100 mg/ day and corresponding to 140-190 mg/ kg/day Except both this species, Dosing start from 50 mg/ kg/ day corresponding to 90 mg/kg / day.

3. Totrazuril

Totrazuril is anticoccidial, coccidiostat drugs derived from triazinetrione derivatives and a potent drug for treating coccidiosis in poultry.

Caecal coccidiosis concurrently with a treat with Totrazuril salt and getting a fantastic result.
Mode of action

Totrazuril is active against all intracellular development stages including schizonts, micro, and macrogamonts. It inhibits the division of the protozoal nucleus, the activity of the mitochondria and damages the wall forming bodies in the microgametes. of Eimeria spp. That’s why Toltrazuril shows coccidial rather than coccidiostats action.
